WHO WE ARE

Lucke is an unlikely clothing brand born in Lisbon. It began where many paths had already ended. Lucas survived a rare brain disease but transformed his disability into creative power. From his obsession with designing clothes and his expressive drawings came the idea of creating a project that would give shape to this creative potential, one that would open a new path for Lucas to walk.

"I would love for people to wear the pieces I imagined. I would love to be a designer and have a clothing brand. With the name Lucke."

Lucke began to take timid shape in 2023 with an Instagram page, where the author’s proposals were first presented: vibrant, provocative drawings printed on organic cotton t-shirts and sweatshirts. The reactions were enthusiastic, always filled with generous amounts of affection and support.

We realized that the pieces created by Lucas carry a new, authorial vision that embraces neurodiversity. And with that comes Lucke’s potential to break barriers, to be an example of inclusion, to move through equity and the self-determination of people with disabilities. A potential far greater than the time and energy the team could devote to it. After much consideration, we gathered the courage and the efforts of this team , Lucas’s parents and sister, along with the precious contribution of friends (who understand things we don’t) to expand Lucke’s reach through this online store.

This small team does (almost) everything. From supporting the designer to delivering orders to customers.
Each piece results from an artisanal process, carefully thought out in every detail. For this reason, we produce in limited quantities and accept orders.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE FRIENDS who are part of this story:

To Nuno, the master tailor, who has been with us since day one. To Valentim, designer of powerful pieces, who told us "to me, Lucas is an author". To Rui, the tamer of numbers, who from the very beginning has been explaining to us that Excel tables are the most beautiful thing. To Nando and Tomás, for the incredible photoshoot, for their professionalism and patience. To the camera girls Sofia, Clara, and Rita, and to the photographer Marta, who captured the making-of of the photoshoot. To the fantastic model team Manuel, Daniel, Joana, Luísa, Maria, and Laura. Lucas loved taking part. To the leaders at DENTSU, who kindly offered their space for the photoshoot.

To everyone who stands by our side, supporting the creation of this project in so many different ways.
